Spaghetti Madness |
Ingredients:
- 2 large onions minced
- 5 cloves of garlic minced, preferably large also
- salt and pepper
- sugar
- water
- 5 pcs of Jumbo Hotdog, sliced thinly :D
- 1/2 kg ground meat
- oil
- 1 kg Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 kg Spaghetti Pasta
Preparation:
THE SAUCE
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large pot (good for 1 kilo of sauce).
- Sautee the garlic and half of the onions.
- Once slightly brown, add the ground meat ( I usually use meatballs in my spaghetti, so this is actually a trial run).
- Stir lightly for 10 minutes or until you feel that meat is cooked.
- Add 1-2 cups water and wait for it to boil.
- Once boiling, check if the ground meat is cooked and add the hotdog, and the remaining onions.
- Stir well and add the Spaghetti Sauce. (I also usually add Tomato Sauce and season again, but not this time :( )
- Bring the sauce to a boil and salt and pepper and sugar, depending on how sweet you want your sauce.
THE PASTA
- Boil a large amount of water in a pot, bout 3 liters since the pot is almost full.
- Once boiling, add 2 tbsp of salt and 2 tbsp of oil.
- Add the 500 gram of pasta.
- Cook the pasta for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. (For al dente, do not cover the pot)
- Remove from the fire and strain. Wash with cold water.
NOW TO EAT.
Serve pasta with sauce and grated cheese.
